He made 2 long wheel base cars for the soda series. They were longer,wider, equipped with a 440 twin cylinder snowmobile engines and a Class rules RPM trans. Rennie Awana built one long wheel base gen3 car.

There are two 6” stretched Gen 4 cars in existence. They were in Wisconsin or Minnesota - have never been able to track them down, though.
Faster than shit but the two guys that raced them were always trying to get that last itty-bitty .0065 hp out of the engines or dicking with the clutches and I only remember them finishing about 1/4 of the races.
At first I thought they were going to be consistent walk the field (should have been) competition but their never ending quest to find that last little edge (of which they needed not) was an Achilles heal for them.
Always a squeaked engine coming off the long straight at Crandon or ate drive belts.
One of the guys had a Scandinavian last name (seems like “ox” was in there somewhere)...

Yeah, Holger was his first name, or something similar. They raced with us in the MORC series in the mid ninties.
