Has anybody used vinyl wrap on body panels?
Looking for any advice.
I'm using stainless and wonderring if wrap will stick...the material has been weathered for at least 20 years and I will clean with brake cleaner.

Wrapped my aluminum panels came out good, just be sure they are smooth and clean, should stick fine.

Looks good Protodie.
Do I wrap the vinyl completely over the edge? I assume that would be fine.

My wraps were directly over powdercoat. We never wrapped around the edge, just stretched them over and cut them from the inside edge. The wrap will stick to most anything though, you'll need some tools, like a heat gun and squeegee. I would recommend watching a how to video on youtube if you plan on doing it yourself ...

I guess my thinking was that since my panels are bolted directly to square tubing that i would trap the vinyl between them when I bolted them on...maybe adding to their holding power?

Thanks, I had a wrap company do it. I believe they put it on and then cut the excess off and did not wrap it around the edges
Like Kuma said, make sure its clean. I made wrap company redo a panel because they had got some grit or something under the wrap and had a bumpy spot
Wrap seems to pretty durable too and even held up to eating gravel roost on the race track

I got mine wrapped by Gatorwraps and I am very satisfied! They have a lot of wraps, with lots of types and colors to choose from. You should also check Gatorprints.
