Take a look at Silver Car(Silver-Car USA | Official Exclusive Distributor). I've had the pleasure of meeting Bernardo several times and seeing both of their cars compete in SCCA hillclimbs here in PA. Quite impressive I must say!

Their ST-2 is what you need to take a close look at.

    Silver car looks like fun!

Cant see too many construction pics on their site but I do see a chain drive.

Dan, do they have chain temp problems like the offroad guys seem to have? I would think the long run times would cook the chain pretty good?

The SCCA(Sports Car Club of America) has 2 classes dedicated to motorcycle engine powered race cars. D-sports racer(DSR) and FB, aka F-1000(Formula 1000). Most cars run either 530 or 630 o-ring chains and honestly, there are few chain related issues.

The website to take a look at is SportsRacer Technology Forums . Maybe head over there, ask a question or search around for your questions and answers.

I have 2 motorcycle powered cars getting ready for next season, I will report back at some point with my results.
