    cv/ rear end setup- need help!!

    im running just a normal chain drive and i have cv axles off of a vw bug...i need the simplest way to attach my inner cv joints to my center shaft. i either need to modify or make my own cv flanges that fit onto my one inch center shaft. Anyone have any sugestions???

    What kind of power are we talking about, and is it keyed, or splined?

    put a 1" key weld a hub inside the cv cups...

    you could have the splined female are machined off and the weld hub machined to fit, but you may also be able to machine the weld hub down, and press it into the splines then weld it in...Or pm protodie and have him make you a set of cv cups up...

    i have done it...Its not easy but it will machine, rowycoracing has done it as well, maybe he will chime in...

    also on a vw bug i dont think the cv cups have a female spline... would any other cv cup fit that size?
