    Hate to dig up a dead horse, I mean beat a dead thread, but... Does anyone happen to know what the bolt pattern for the vw differential is? The flange that holds the ring gear. The 002 bus diff specifically, even though I suspect that all the VW'S have the same? I need to build another one of these and I cannot remember the pattern.

    Hey Guys, I have been trying to sort out a differential option at the moment. I have been chatting to Fly about the RPM box, but the freight is a killer. It is exactly what I am after, but just to far out of my budget with the freight.

    So other options are as follows - Convert a Suzuki SJ413 Transfer Box to a FNR and use it transverse. Has any one had experience using it transverse? Any issues doing this.

    Using a starter motor as done by the edge. I guess an upgrade in battery is required to provide the supply to a 2kw Toyota starter?

    Any help and ideas would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

    Here are a couple of options

    Lynx AE Products for Bike Sports

    Part way down is chain powered diffy. and then an electric reverse.

    I would use the electric reverse on a drive shaft leading to a the irs from an old Jag or Corvette.
    This is a Dana 44 that can handle more than enough torque and you can get rear end ratios up to 5.89:1. Mount the motor sideways and run a drive shaft. No chain adjusting.

    Hey Guys, Has any one used the LADA transfer box as an FNR. The input shaft seems like it would be in an ideal position for mounting as a rear transaxle FNR (Converting low range to reverse would need to be done) Has anyone had any experience with these and what is involved with the conversion. What diff do they run and are they available in LSD. Thanks chaps!
