Im gonna be working on a friends buggy which was built by SuperKart. Which in reality is a Chinese Roketa buggy conversion to a Briggs 35HP and FNR box. Im not Sure if they were originally sold from the infamous Team Moto, but I know they have the chinese knockoff of the RPM.

Well this buggy has an the FNR that has the RPM logo machined into the case. How can I tell if it is trully an RPM? Im wondering if it is just the case and internals are Chinese.

I'll take some pics tomorrow when I get a chance.

Find a part number on it and call RPM.

Ive worked on alot of chinese made buggies, scooters, atvs, and go karts and you can usually tell by looking that it was made in china. The casting process on the cases for one is different than a japanese, USA, British, etc.. made case. Also look at the linkage coming off it and you can tell if its cheap pot metal or a solid steel or aluminum piece.

the chinese internals wont work inside rpm box the team-moto and superkart boxes are the same and have metric internals as RPMs are not metric your in luck im sure you have a true RPM.

    cool Thanks guys

If it is then Im thinking its a lower Gear Ratio. Its mounted to a CVT with a 35HP Briggs Vtwin.

If so, will it be a problem in the future If I were to mount a 750cc+ motorcycle engine?

Yes. CVT is prob 9-10:1. Bike with sprocket and chains, box should be in 4.5-5:1 You can swap out internals, RPM can.

If its got RPM in case I'd say 99% its real.
