Does anyone know if you can run a external aftermarket oil cooler on a 2006 gsxr 750 engine? I haven't taken the OEM cooler off yet, but imagane I will need some kind of adapter to connect line to block........
    Thanks for any help.

I bought a couple of adapters that mount right up to my GSXR 1000 and are the right size to get the proper oil flow. See the link below. These are AN style adapters, so once they are installed, you can hook up any AN line to whatever oil cooler you want. If these don't fit a 750, take a look around for Dwarf car engine setups. I am sure you will find something that works. These also work for Hayabusa's....

Not sure about the GSXR but i had a honda rc51 engine and I cut the rubber hose of the original oil lines leaving just the end fitting (the one that bolts to the engine). I then silver soldered an AN-8 weld on bung to the end fitting, which created an adapter from the unique motorbike engine fitting to a standard AN-8 fitting. After this was done, fitting an oil cooler was simple.

Sounds a lot like what NinjaRaptor was explaining.

My engine has a type of liquid heat exchanger that bolts right to the block. There are no oil lines, just coolant line to it from the radiator. The link looks like the adapters I need. Thanks

No sweat, glad to help. You might want to call NXS Motorsports and confirm that they will fit your motor. I suspect they will, but always good to call.

My zx12 has that coolant cannister too, then the oil filter screws onto that. Engine coolant flow thru to help cool oil, or oil flows thru to help heat the coolant. I'm having some cooling issues with my rad and have found some aftermarket oil cooler adapter kits. It sandwiches a block with AN oil in/out lines inplace of old cooler unit. Universal Oil Cooler Kit Honda Civic Subaru Large Capacity Stainless Hose | eBay I have not bought and confirmed fit, but I run a larger oil filter from a car on my motor and it fits this cooler setup.
