I am with Flyerrider on this . Lookin at your picts that rad is very small.. 1 for the locaton you have it and 2 for a Busa . If I had a rad that size in mine even with the placement I have, I suspect it would over heat as yours is . Seems to me your simplest solution would be the 3 core radiator on FleeBay

I have the busa gauge cluster mounted in it, and on the streets it never goes above the middle or norm, even when I raced my buddy on his V-rod.

It's a 2 row honda civic radiator, (definitely a bit larger than the stock busa radiator) in the pics it does look a lot smaller than it is. That chain is bad and I have a new one coming any day, but a guard is a good idea once I get this radiator situated.

I think I am going to try the higher flow spal fan and maybe a fan on the oil cooler too

from what I can see it looks like a single pass down-flow radiator that is too small. Down flow meaning that the coolant dumps in from the top and drops to the bottom through the core once, and if it cools down, it cools down, if it doesn't it doesn't. I have single seat busa powered car with the radiator immediately behind the seat and no overheating issues at all BUT I have a 2 pass cross flow radiator, meaning that the water dumps in at the top passes to the right through the top half of the core, then drops, then passes to the left along the bottom of the core then to the water pump

do you think the 3 row will solve the problem?

or has anyone used Evan's waterless coolant? I was told to try it, but I don't think it will run cooler but they say it protect the cylinders if it gets hot because there will be no steam, no boil over and no pressure in the system? I watched a guy test it in a polaris tripple sled and he ran a looped system with no heat exchanger he free reved it. He got it to 265 degrees and tore it down and no damage.

I was going to try the evans and a higher flow fan like a Spal fan? Or evans and a 3 row radiator?

Or should I try to move the oil cooler away from the radiator and put a separate fan on it?
My frame is all powder coated and I am trying to solve the overheating in the dunes with the least modifications.

or try to run a cowl directing air into the front of the radiator and behind the gas tank?

I am going to the dunes July 2nd and won't know if I solve the problem until I am there running it, because it won't do it here on the streets.

A drag racer told me to try and reverse the flow through the radiator. Have it push it up from the bottom and out the top so the head pressure might let the coolant stay in the radiator longer???

I tried 3 radiators in my Hayabusa Buggy before I found the right combination that keeps the temp gauge in the normal range.

I used a 2 row aluminum racing radiator from 02-06 Acura RSX with dual fans and shroud.

There are many choices on Ebay.

My radiator is mounted behind the seats and pulls plenty of air from the passenger compartment.

Evans NPG will make the motor run hotter. It does not transfer heat as well as regular anti-freeze. Strait water with water wetter will have the best transfer. The only advantage to the NPG is it's high boiling point. IT keeps working past where regular water gives up. If you are having cooling problems, it will not solve them, it will just prolong the inevitable.
