Ok I am not an electrician and can barely hook two wires together.
So during my race my chargeing light came on.

Its a VW Alternator with a built in regulator.
    (Bosch)
I have the dummy light hooked to my accessories.
And the B+ to my battery.

Anyways heres the weird part at idle my light almost goes out.
But when I get on the gas the light gets very brite!

I checked the voltage and its chargeing just fine.
If I unplug the dummy light it stops chargeing.
Which all makes since and checks out just fine.
So why is the light still on?

The alternator seems ok so I am confused.
I looked for shorts and actually pulled all fuses for everything except my coil and still it stays on and brighter when I gas it.

I have no clue and well without pulling a ton of stuff to get to my alternator and taking it in I dont know what to try.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Well took it into the shop and apparently the internal regulator is stuck
    in the max chargeing mod.
Thats pretty much burned up as its chargeing to much and
    burning out.

    So had to replace it.
Thanks anyways guys not much any of us could have done
    to fix it.

Might try the old warranty trick and see if the maufacturer
    will warranty it?
    Who knows.

    Oh well it happens.
