I was contemplating this today as we drove through rocky crap on the road to Crown King. The RZR has hanging pedals. Brake isn't a big deal, as it has resistance and even in rough stuff you can modulate it easily enough (you use more of your leg than just a foot/ankle to control).

Throttle pedal, on the other hand needs to mount to the floor. The hanging setup doesn't allow for a way to anchor your foot and in the rough stuff I'm on and off the throttle like I'm having seizures.

My dad had the same problem with his IMCA Modified, it had a hanging gas pedal, so his solution was to put some grip tape (sandpaper-like) on the floor where his heel would rest, and against the side of the firewall where he could steady the toe of his foot. Obviously this only works if you have a firewall directly to the right of your gad pedal, and it would be a better option just to go with a floor mounted pedal in the first place if you have the option

Thanks Guys. Good point about the vibration on rough terrain and about the foot "rest" on the outside of the pedal. I am sticking with the cable actuated clutch which makes the pedals cheaper.

    Cheers.

hanging brake, floor foot. brake type was solely because of "packaging" issues. welded half a door hinge plate to my front frame gusset, piece of wide alum. C-channel with a bolt thru it and diamond plate screwed to the front of it for a pedal.
