    Vehicle weight...

How about a rule saying all cars have to weigh the same, or at least have a min. weight, like stock cars. * People can build the rails as light as they want, then they have to add weight to get it to the min. amount required. The advantage would be that vehicles that are not balanced correctly can have weight added to the area of the car that needs it.

I agree 100%, problem is stock pilot is int the 650 lb range and adding more than 50 lbs or so would be kind of funky, but good idea, the next problem is who is going to bring the scales each time to the track?

    Still like the idea tho...

Yoshi wants a 1000 lbs. minimum so he can build a competitive car. *

If the class catches on then manufacturers will tool up and start making cars again. *The Pilot and Odyssey can not live forever. *Let come up with a reasonable minimum and allow Pilot/Odyssey framed cars weigh whatever. *Hopefully there will be enough interest that the Pilots and Odysseys will fade out and no longer be a factor. *Sorry guys.

Hero, i disagree, pilots will likely never fade, and when a 100+ motor is installed, our 1000 lb 140 hp cars are likely not to be competative with them.....I think odypilots 600 powered pilot hit the scales at 750, i may be wrong and surely he will clarify this for us....

I've heard that my Briggs are right about 600 lbs. *But, I don't know... *

They do seem fairly light - it's easy to pick up the front end - even with one leg [smilie=ext_crutch.gif].

Uh - wait... that may not be the turn key. *I know I can pick up the stripped frame's front end w/o any problems - not tried the turn key.

I guess I need to find some scales and see what the turn key car weighs, eh???

[smilie=gun_2guns.gif] Man, you guys are gonna end up making my cars illegal, aren't ya! *

    Sheesh, they'll only have 80 hp... [smilie=icon_razz2.gif]

They would have to be reduced to vintage races at least. *How many years did they sell them? *There are a limited number to begin with. *Add to that the fact that lots of them are getting bigger motors making them more prone to crashes.?????

I think through evolution they will fade but I have to admit they are more alive now than I thought. *I think it is the concept not the actual vehicle? Either way, I don't think for our purposes that we should take into account the weight of the Pilots and Odysseys.

No worries - I'm not scared of anybody's hp advantage. *
