    Radiator & fuel tank clearance

Hi, can anyone clarify if the radiator could be mounted too close to the fuel tank ( heat wise )?

I've just completed a custom change, mounting a small fuel tank (steel) in front of the radiator with about an 1/2 inch of clearance, the pressed edge and top of the tank seems to quite hot, but the underneath doesn't.

    sorry unable to upload pics.

    cheers
    Chris

Adding heat to fuel could cause problems like vapor lock. A quick solution might be to use some adhesive backed insulating mylar from the auto parts store.
