Any rules against ground effects? That would be a better choice than large wings for down force, a lot less drag associated with it.

I see a few of the cars at the tracks around here(denver,boulder area). they are pretty quick on really long straights, but cant hang in the corner compared to my modified 125 shifter kart.
but I'm not really comparing apples to apples. it is cool to pass one on the inside of a corner looking up to these machines.

CU and CSU have a F1 SAE group, you may be able to pick up some good ideas and info. just a thought.

I'm going to use underbody effects in addition to the wings. Mainly a diffuser and possibly undertray channels.
