That looks like a Honda footpeg. They're not supposed to bite like that. (that would be Suzuki's job).

Cool pix. Sand mountain looks to be named quite well.

Now you'll always have a nice scar to remember the trip by......

Question: Did your “nom de guerre” have any bearing on that leg wound?

Second Question: Did you get the Joyner out? Under it’s own power? Getting them in is the easy part. Just one quick push from the top.

Man the leg makes MY stomach turn

There's nothing worse than a shin wound. That thing will take months to heal. I guess you'll be wearing boots next time.

Flies are already at it!
Are they the shoes he was wearing?
I watched a friend "sit" on a foot peg from about five feet in the air,It went right through his riding pants, into his thigh, about five inches below his arse.We had to lift him off it!The peg was covered with meat. Then when he got to the hospital they stuck a stainless bottle brush in it to clean it out!OUCHIE!

Nothing like trying to get all the sand out of a deep wound. Always a few more make their way out months, even years later.

I'm a nurse, and I have to close my eyes until after I have to scroll past that picture.

I feel sorry for that guy. The picture just makes my skin crawl....ewwwwww.

it is an older Yamahamma 4 stroke.AHA! I knew the peg looked familiar. 426 by chance? They had a short kick starter that liked to throw your foot off.

I had a similar experience at Sand Lake my first time out. I was trying to kick start a honda fat cat back at camp for someone. The kick starter was completely tweaked at my foot slipped right off and my shin slid against the peg. It took a sliver of skin 4 inches long right off the bone. I couldn't walk the rest of the day, and it took about 3 months to fully heal. I need to find the pictures.

Thats the nice thing about riding Honda ATVs... They have a forward kick-start. Worst you'll get is maybe a bruise if you fall off of it. That sliver of skin coming off...nasteh.
