Ok I am in the final stages of getting my car ready for a test run. I connected my clutch lines and decided to check out the shifting. I have been able to start my engine in neutral and she sounds great. But when I shift into gear 1st or 2nd the engine dies. It imediatly cuts out as soon as N is disengaged.
WTF????? I am soooo tired of dealing with the wiring harness and I am sure the problem lies there. Any ideas? Also I see that people are running positive stops on their clutch pedals, I do not have one yet but I think I will make one up. *Could this be the cause?
Thanks guys
I am so close it hurts.

What engine?

If it is a bike engine, I'd bet the house that the side stand switch hasn't been bypassed.

Some bikes have a kickstand switch. If you put it in gear with it down it kills the motor.

Kick stand switch. *Find where the kickstand plug is, and connect the 2 lines together, to ground out the circuit, and it will stay running...

I would tend to believe that the kick stand sensor came about because of "the lawyers" someone most likely drove off with the kick stand down....wreaked..... sued and won.....so now we have kick stand sensors!! [smilie=strokin.gif]

Some people sue for the craziest crap, like the coffee, no w00ter, it's hot?

A lot of it has to do with the lawyers.........they see money to be made and no matter how dumb the suit is....if they can make some cash....go for it! The one thing that would stop that is if we had laws that force the losing side to pay all costs in any suit brought forth....but that will never happen because the people that make the laws are overwhelmingly lawyers themselves!! *[smilie=strokin.gif] *And ya....who would have thought that HOT coffee was HOT!
