so can you use a radiator as an oil cooler..... *i found a good size radiator with small inlet & outlet. may be off a bike.. *but its cheap and nice.. * thanks *-matt

I guess, but it'll hold a lot of oil. You'll want it level with the engine oil so it doesn't drain back and fill up the case. Permacool makes some good sized oil coolers, but they are 80-100.

Very well... yeah, you don't want water or antifreeze in your oil, or any of the deposits that the water can leave behind.

yea.. scratch that idea.. *what about a tranny cooler? * they are very decent size... * ??? * *im just looking for budget alternatives....

That would actually work pretty good if you can find one that is extername and not hooked to the radiator. They are plenty large, and should cool the oil pretty good.

I'm planning to use a pretty good sized transmission cooler as an oil cooler on my build.
