View Full Version : Shifting option

Looking to convert my hand controls in my buggy to foot controls and a sterring wheel, and came across this. I don't need it as I use a hydrolic clutch, but if you have a cable clutch, this would be a heck of an option.

I finally got mine to pop off and run for about 5 seconds at a time. So I think I'm on the right path. The carbs are gummed up.

I want to convert mine though. Its currently got a homemade pilot style "wheel" with the controls on the steering. I don't care for it. I'd rather have foot pedals. But I do like the idea of a clutch on the wheel. Do they have a clutch lever like this for a hydrolic clutch?

you just have to make it that way, run the cable to the master cylinder.....

I made an hydraulic shifter using a pair of rear m/cylinders from a bike and connected them up using flexible Nylon or Teflon lines which worked well.
