I'm currently building an Edge Piranha and I've got a question about off-road lights. *As we all know, lights are available in a WIDE variety of watts. *My question is........what is a safe wattage to use with the stock '05 GSXR 600 charging system? *I'd like to have two forward facing lights and one rear tail light. *I don't want to put too much strain on the electrical system as I am not a fan of electrical issues. *

I run (4) 4.25" bullet Hid's from Lazer Star ( 2 spot, 2 flood). *They are 35 watt lights but put out 150 watts of light with only a 2 amp draw, which means 4 lights pull about as much as a stock a headlight setup in a bike.

If you're willing to pay for HID, then you should look into them. *The smoke regular and halogen lights in both performance and required amp draw. *The biggest issue with them is the pain in the wallet.

You can buy 6.5 Vision X HID's from Oregon Motor Sports for about $350 eac. Very nice lights. I believe they are 4 amp draw and they come with everything you need other than a switch.

Better put some protection on there yoshi. At 4 bill apiece the way we drive they're gonna get screwed up one way or the other. Tree limb or going wheels up!

I'd recommend the Baja Designs Fuego HID's. They're 4" and provide more light then you can imagine. Plus they have 4 different beam patters so you can mix and match to get the best possible combo for your needs. I'm running 4 of them on my Rhino, 2 driving and 2 wide-cornering lights. It's simply amazing how much light they put out. The only downside I can see is that they have set the bar higher for everything else and now I'm not satisified with anything less.

Thanks for the info guys. *HID's are going to be out of my price range, but I am sure they are well worth the cash. *I need to see, but I don't need to melt the back end of the buggy in front of me!!
