Just saw the other day that the 420cc engine is on sale at Harbor freight for $119!

Which means its only $100 with 20% coupon!

dang... did they go up in price? I thought you could get them for 75 dollars with the 20% percent coupon. might be awhile ago, now that I think about it though.

Where did you see this? The 420cc engine is $300.

the 195 cc (6.5 hp clone) is at 99. i could see 199. on the 420. i notice that hf has a small print disclaimer for anything predator (among other items) that no other coupons or discounts can be applied to the sales price in the flyer

I think the disclaimer is for air compressors, generators and or the large tool boxes and welders.
Not sure but I don't think they discount those. Not sure

I put the 22hp in my cart and tried to use the 20% off...doesn't work.

all the coupons/flyers/texts i've gotten over the last few months have "predator" in the disclaimer in the listing of brands they can't be combined on. Might snag a 6.5 for the rebuild of my daughter's buggy, have a buyer already lined up for it, (same guy who bought the blue sunl-zuki) just need to paint it, put new suspension bushings in up front and it's a done deal. the old tec engine likely needs a head gasket and valve job. may just bolt a new one on and call it done.

I know this is somewhat off the topic of this thread but I have a question for MASCMAN. I have a kandi gkm3 that I am debating doing an engine swap in and can't decide between the predator 13hp or the 22hp?? I have modded it but the 150cc just isn't enough with 2 poeple in it. How happy are you with the 22hp so far?? What buggy are you running it in? Anybody else here replaced a 150cc gy6 with a 13 or 22 predator that can chime in? Thanks for any feedback you guys can give.

we used the actual Honda GX630 motor in a 2 seat buggy , 21hp
it did great

I have a couple Predator 670 motors going into single seat MXT buggies right now

I would recommend the 22hp vs the 13hp for a 2 seat buggy

heres a video

22 HP for sure, you wont regret it!

Never read a story of anyone who had tooooo much hp.

Ask the dude with the LS bug that went tooling around san diego about how power affected his judgement.

ditto the 22hp. The 150s are in the 9-12 hp range. you'd get more bottom end torque but lower revs out of the swap, 13 hp wouldn't change much.

That's just what iv'e been wanting to see protodie! Thanks for that vid. I can see that a 22 in my buggy would be plenty as im sure its not quite as heavy as yours. Its 500lbs and I'm 215 and the wife is 125 so the 22hp should be perfect. Thanks for all the info guys! Much appreciated. Harbor freight has the 13 and 22 in stock at the local store so Im goin for a 22. Heres a short vid of my buggy jumping.

It was at the Harbor Frieght in La Puente California. Now that I look at the online ad, I'm wondering if they misplaced the showroom ad on the wrong engine. It was in the front store display of the engines and I noticed it from the register while I was checking out. The 212cc and 420cc boxes were next to each other but the $119 ad was on and in front of the 420cc boxes.
I didn't walk up to read the fine print so I apologize for misleading but I'll blame it on Harbor Freight Clerk error for misplacing the ad![smilie=gun_bash.gi:

Don't worry. We won't get out the "iron maiden"..... (Old century torture Device.... Not the Rock Band)..... Shit now I'm explaining my jokes...... Dang it

Interesting fact...there's no evidence that the iron maiden was ever used as a torture device. The only ledger of it being used was proved to be fabricated by a historian attempting to commercially market his museum and himself.
