Was deciding to buy plans and they closed down :-(
Anyone know where I can buy shredder 2 plans?

I just bought them a few weeks ago...they didn't get sent out right away and when I talked to them , the woman said her mother was ill.

Maybe they are dealing with some issues right now.

I can get you the phone number if you want to call them.

I would say call, definitely get better response and faster. I emailed them and got tired of waiting so I called immediate answer.

Let us know what you find out.

I called and they said they closed on December 31. [smilie=thumbs_down:

I wonder how someone could get shredder plans now?

Anybody out there have the plans? I purchased the front end plans a year or so ago planning to add it to my hammerhead ss250, but then wanted to try the whole build...

Stinks they are gone now.

If Ubuilditplans has closed down, is it unethical to share the plans? I purchased the drawings from Ubuilditplans and have a complete set, but not sure what the rules are for sharing them?

03-02-2016, 03:48 PM
Good point. Not sure. I might try to call them and see if I can figure something else out...

They are shut down so they are not going to gain or loose money from this point on. The woman sounded like an older lady to me and maybe the business was getting to be too much work.

I say that whatever you do with the plans in private, that are your property now, is entirely up to you.

I think as long as you aren't posting the plans online for everyone then its fine. If one or 2 members wanted a set of plans and you have them, sharing with them isn't an issue.

03-03-2016, 08:33 PM
You are probably correct. I tried to call and the phone just rings and rings and nobody or anything picks up... I'm happy to pay them, just there is nobody to pay! :) I did purchase the front end plans, but would like the whole buggy now. If anybody is willing to privately send me plans I'd appreciate it. If it turns out they come back or answer, I'd pay em.

Gave another shot at calling and the number is now disconnected...

03-07-2016, 11:12 PM
PM me I know where there's a e copy of the plans

03-08-2016, 01:10 PM
Thanks Lug-Nuts. I'm also in Utah...

I've talked to Scott many times in the past. Based upon some of the information he shared, I would guess that he's retirement age these days, so maybe he decided to pack it in?

If it were me, I would still list the plans for sale and hire some shirttail relative to monitor the web site and fill the orders. Easy money.

On second thought, maybe there isn't much money in buggy plans these days. When I was down at Little Sahara (Utah) last week, the number of SxS'es was astounding. I had to wait for a line of 8 SxS'es to go by before I could proceed out onto the dunes and there was only one lone sandrailer scooting around on the face of Sand Mountain. A big change from the old days.

Yeah, thinking the same things. Makes sense.

It seems the other forum buggy news is slowing down quite a bit and some there are even buying rzrs now.

My first time to little sahara was last fall. Pretty cool place.

I bought a set of the ubuildit plans if anyone is interested. I ended up building an AR51 because I wanted something a little more extreme without the jack shaft drives. I myself am considering buying a RZR or similar. It's the only way I'll ever get my wife and kid out on the trails with me.

Hi guys, I also missed buying the Ubuilditplans by a few months. I've been planning to build the two-seated full suspension kart for many years, but now it's unfortunately too late. I do hope these plans become available again as this kart seems to have a good balance of size, performance, and simplicity that is perfectly in between other buggy options.wjfawb0, Lug-Nuts, or Happycamper... If you are comfortable with sharing your plans, I would be very interested and very thankful to obtain a copy. This seems to be too good a buggy to let slip through the cracks.

I'm interested in getting a copy of these plans if anyone knows where there are some still available. If any of you members would be willing to share them I'd throw a couple bucks your way.

03-29-2016, 11:37 PM
I'm also interested and willing to pay, seems there is a market. Someone shoot me A PM please.

Just for people to know I have bought plans from www.ubuilditplans.co.uk
they are very detailed and there is good support.

06-27-2016, 05:01 PM
Ya, that isnt the same ubuilditplans.

07-18-2016, 04:01 PM
new good place for designs including diggers and the dtv shredder

02-08-2017, 03:35 PM
I ran across these on ebay, can't say if it's good bad or other

02-08-2017, 03:50 PM
I wonder if this is being sold by someone affiliated with the original ubuilditplans, or if it's someone who bought a copy of the plans, has a color copier and sees an opportunity to make a buck. I hope it's the former.

02-08-2017, 06:29 PM
I hope someone isnt trying to make a buck on the situation. I dont know why ubuildit closed, but their plans are copyrighted. Which could land someone in some hot water for selling copies.

02-08-2017, 08:12 PM
They are also selling the backhoe plans so I'll bet it's the original people...probably just easier selling through Ebay.

08-27-2017, 12:08 AM
I have a complete set of plans if someone wants them

08-04-2019, 01:22 AM
Does anyone know where I could find a set of Shredder II plans?
I bought a paper copy from someone here a couple years ago but have since lost it, and Ubilditplans has closed.

08-06-2019, 08:16 PM
I would love to see them. PM me...
