Pretty much what I'm building now, sans truck body and linked rear end.

Trophy Kart and Hall Motorsports To Release The First Unlimited Trophy Kart 600 In The Early Months of 2015 (http://hallmotorsports.us/news/91-utk600-trophykart.html)

R SUSPENSION:
4-LINK FLOATER SOLID AXLE CHAIN DRIVE 2.5 COILOVERS

How would you chain drive a 4 link solid axle

Just like a Trophy Kart 450.

I wonder how long the chains last on those.

I wish they raced those in the south... I would consider one for my son if he was interested. In a couple of years that is.

Interesting. Chain must get destroyed from all that twisting

See the torsion setup, very little twist.

I to wonder about the chains life but there is an easy way to get around it.

A CV at the frame end of the rear suspension with small arms going up to it from the rear axle. The Cv allows the rear to twist and the arms going to the CV bearings just twist the CV.

Very cool!

Hmmm, everyone told me it wouldn't work when I made this sketch back in 07.

http://www.minibuggy.net/forum/suspension-wheels-tires/6848-my-3-link-go-kart-rear-axle-concept.html

Pretty much exactly the same as that.

I was told mounting the shock right over the axle was too hard to setup, but I see a lot of them that way.

Checked my settings for pm's and its enabled- so give it a shot again.

I also enabled the email option as well if that works for you.

I have seen the normal trophy karts race and they look like awesome fun!im intrigued at how the rear end will go on this. Its so simple it would be a great alternative to a trailing arm or double a arm rear

"I am actually loving this thing. Not sure about the rear drive setup... but if it works, its awesome!"

I love it too and have been really wanting to build one. I even did the 'sit in the racing seat with the engine on the floor to lay it out trick".

As far as it working, TK has been running this setup for years now.

Claiming 18" of rear wheel travel. I'd love to see how much flex. This rear end just seems so simple to me, I love it. Only one thing to break (chain), and as you say, if TK's have been running like this for years its gotta be doing something right.
