Hello, I decided to show my project. I call it almost ST4. Because lengthened and widened front, more legroom. Reinforced frame. And I use a car engine Volvo B4194T. Later I'll tell you more: D

I started to produce the front suspension, but already I see mistakes.

A little update. Rear swing arms is temporary, it will be reworked. And the front fork segment. The width of the appearance of almost 2000mm.Now there is a problem with axle, thinking to leave the original cv joint, but need to lengthen the original axle. But I think the lengthening original axle seem unreliable.Maybe offer how to solve this problem? The engine with small improvements will have about 320-350NM and 170-180KW

As I can see Lithuanians taking over MBN forum :DYou're going to have to outdo the Aussies - they're joining daily. [smilie=giddy.gif] :)

But I think the lengthening original axle seem unreliable.Maybe offer how to solve this problem? If the axle is a common spline, you might be able to find some in the US, unless that makes them too expensive.

There have been some good threads on how to lengthen axles, so try searching in the drive train section of the site.

looking good. What kind of reinforcements are you putting on the front hubs? or did you do that already?

also... what made you choose a Volvo engine?

Renatas
09-21-2015, 01:35 PM
I have put 40x5mm steel strips http://i571.photobucket.com/albums/ss157/Renatas_Katavicius/Untitled_zpstpk5mwcg.jpg
Later still reinforced from the bottom.

Why Volvo engine? I like Volvo, I drive a Volvo. Seriously speaking this engine has a lot of potential. Without too much trouble can raise output to 300hp. The engine light and strong.I was thinking about Suzuki GSXR 1000cc engine, but expensive and I did not like the sound, torque weak. In fact I do not like a motorcycle engine into buggy [smilie=lmao.gif]

shhh... don't say that too loud in here. [smilie=biggrin.gif] so... 300hp? that would be a pretty good amount for that buggy. are you planning to get it to that much?

Renatas
09-21-2015, 02:01 PM
I am thinking about 230-250hp. Should be enough for the first time :D

You are going to brace the spindles, aren't you? The present flat plate for the top mount won't stay like that very long. It needs the sides boxed in.

I am thinking of adding 5mm plate from the edge

Okay, good. I was worried that you were going to leave it like in the pictures.

I'm surprised with how much abuse the upper snout of the spindle takes - make sure you brace it in really well.
