I was looking at this one, as well as the R 16 Shotgun, but think maybe the numbers on this one may be more to my liking. That is, if I can stretch it some. I really like the two seat designs, especially if I can race it. Any way, does anyone here have any advice or experience with this one?

The R82. I thought that it was in the R82 section so it wouldn't need to be said, my bad.

Posted a completely unbiased opinion on the R16 thread!
If you're serious about competition the R16 is probably a better choice as it has larger diameter tubing which is more likely to comply with class rules.

As a side note the R16 complies with Confederation of Australian Motorsport (CAMS, FIA affiliated) general off road chassis requirements here in Aus by increasing the wall thickness on the main chassis tubes one step.
Once cash flow allows I'm having the chassis of the R16, R11 and R21 engineer certified (by FEA of the chassis models) so no changes from the plans in terms of chassis tube diameter and thickness are required for compliance. It should be no issue but not on the top of the to do list just yet.
Self builders will need to demonstrate compliance with the build manual and competent welding to get the tick.
