I'm considering either the R82 or the Shotgun plans for a mini buggy build. I was looking to see if anyone is running a Honda or ecotec in either of these chassis with a cvt setup. If so did you have to lengthen the back section for a bit more room. Most of my time will be spent in desert environment so I'm leaning toward the shotgun.
This will be my first mini buggy build and I'm sure I will have many questions along the way

I am doing a shotgun as well and I have a CVT for sale for an Ecotech. I just bought a complete motor set up from Alpha Fab Industries today and I have chosen to use a built type 1 trans axle instead of the CVT. I too will be 90% desert and wanted to shift for hills up and down.
Good luck on your build and I will be watching for updates.
