Hi,
Iam planning my 1st buggy build and have no accsess to fabrication tools beside a welder and have a very limited budget. I have a few question to ask:
I was looking at around a 250cc engine is that enough power to have fun?
For the rolling chasis would a front and back axel of a quad (250cc) joined by square tubing be ok?
I have 21ft scaffolding steele bars would they do for a roll cage?
What would be the reccomended length and width for this build?
I would appreciate the help.
Thanks Dylan:)

HI Dylan
i started in a Fl250 oddyssey and it was fun on the flat dirt fire roads, both my kids learned in the250 when we started getting more aggressive the 250 had over heating problems, sold it and got a FL350 much better power but still over heated so i got a klemm water cooled head and it helped but i still siezed a piston.sold that and got a FL400 Pilot the difference was amazing,no more over heating and the suspension let me run wide open with no problems. I know get to the point already, save your coin and find a crashed street bike like a 400,500 and up,build from that and you wont be dissapointed.if you find a water cooled motor even better.if you go 2 stroke add air scoops on each side of the seat like the oddyessy. so have fun with this build and send some pics.

Here is a buggy I built a while back using a 250 engine. Not sure about your other questions. Building a buggy is not cheap unless you can get pretty much everything free.
