I just bought the st4 plans and i would like too know if my fz6r 600 cc engine (78hp) would make it ?

Do you think it will be enough power for that buggy ?

it pushes my buddies street bike to 130mph, Pretty certain itll be a nice heart for your buggy.

The answer is yes it will move and move good but do not expect it to run against a similiar buggy with a 1000cc or bigger.

The bigger engines make more torque and need to be shifted less. Some people LOVE to shift but shifting a revving 600cc all the time may get old fast to some.

The bike may have gone 130mph but you are taking away aerodynamics and adding four soft tires and likely gonnna be off road in the softer than asphalt dirt. Add in a lot more bearings for the extra wheels and the drivetrain and...

The loads add up in a hurry. Now you can and will be gearing it a lot deeper than the bike. Not to many can go much past 70 off road unless you are talking smooth fire trails or sand dunes.

Just be realistic in the weight and other loads you are adding. It will still move but it will be NOWHERE near as fast as the bike was in acceleration or top speed.

Due to the added loads and weight and wind resistance if you really wanna go FAST a larger 1000cc or more will be a better choice.

Geared right the 600cc will still be a heckuvalottafun.

Thank you !!

If there is not enough power i'm gonna add a turbo

Someone already did that ?

Your power to weight might give you an idea.
100hp for 1000lb fully loaded with driver compared to a 4500lb car that would be 450hp, sounds kinda quick.
