so i scored a 06 ninja FI 636r that was wrecked in 06 with 1100miles on it.I was thinking of what i could build that would be fun for me and the family i have 2 boys. so i went on YOUTUBE and looked up karts and found a video of a place that sold plans for buggys. this was a deal changer! istead of just a little shifter kart that i would be stuck to the blacktop i will now have a toy that can go just about anywhere. :D i went to my metal shop with a list of supplies and came back to the shop with a truck full of iron. I haven't built a buggy like this before but I did own an exhaust shop for 4 years and i have been fabricator for 12 years. sor off to work i was and now im a week into it and I sent the DXF off to farwest steel in medford Oregon. should have the parts cut and back in a week or so.

this is a very informing site and binze did an awsome job. just got my plate steel in and now its time to get out my plasma cutter. i got a quote on laser cut parts and it was $600 so should have most cut out this weekend and then it will start to come together.

Looks good. You cut the plates by hand with a plazma cutter?

yeah i got a quote to have them laser cut (which would have been way easier)but it saved me $400us.

Is the buggy designed to be built with no tubing bender? Looks like most of the angles are welded joints

the plans called for a bender but i like the look of the welded joints. it is alot more work to make it strong but the look is worth it. each weld joint has to have a cap.
