Been here for a while now looking around etc. I have decided to build a long travel ST2.

I have my laser plates cut, geting all the tubes bent and then the project will sit a while until I get all the small parts fabricated. the last thing built will be the frame. I will make all the sub assemblies though.

I have purchased all my bushings (what a pain in the but) All rod ends, misalignment spacers and threaded bungs. Aswell as the bearings etc.

I know its not alot but, it's a start.

Getting started is the hard part......Usually the finish replicates the start. Everything in between is goes fast.or seems that way. Good luck on the build.

The buggy god's must be smiling down on me today. I just stoped off at TSC in town and they were having a sale. Just bought (3) 1.25" hole saw blades for $5 each. normaly $12. its not alot but the savings paid for me to have my stub axles machined today. hopefully welding this weekend.

Went to Toronto last night and bought the CBR engine i was looking at. It's a 2010 Honda CBR1000RR. Included in the package was the Engine with complete wire harness, both CDI boxes, exhaust manifold, keyed ignition, insterment panel with 6500km on it, chain and both sprokets. good compression and next step will be making it run,

On a side note, also decided to buy an engagement ring yesterday

OH and I paid $2000 for the engine package [smilie=thumbs_up.g:.....................[smilie=stupid.gif]

That engine package is sweet. Very very clean.
A lot of us use aluminum Honda Civic radiators with electric fans. Have you considered that? I had a hard time finding a place to put mine so I raised the roof so to speak. I probably could've mounted it sideways and been fine...

Looks great. You must be a bachelor.

Parts pile is looking good! Are those some Chinese tires or something? They looks similar to Maxxis or Goodyear or something but I can't remember which.

There is an easier way. When you have the album in phobucket and you see all pics, you move the mouse on a pic and a box will appear. You will click the 4th option which says img code. It will copy the image automatically. You just paste the link an the picture will appear.

The parts look good moose. Can't wait to see it all come together. I hear you on the hiding the shocks thing. My wife will kill me when it comes time to spend $800-$1000 on shocks. I just picked up a lightly used aftermarket suspenssion(AD Boivin ZX2)for my sled for a great price and she almost wigged out. Keep buying and keep hiding, and start building and posting more pics. The best part about it is, my wife has no idea what this kind of stuff is worth, so it's not hard to "bend" the truth a bit;)

I bought a chevy s10 with a 350 in it drove it home took her for a ride and pulled out into road and lit the tires up for about 2 telephone poles, she had a huge grin on her face!!!!!!! tehn later when her mom was home i drove by and she told me to go to store and do same thing in front of her mom!!!!!!!!!! I said I'm not going to do that infront of your mothers house.....OK and did same thing but her mom not very impressed lol

there from the 60 or 70's mustang i think. there kinda like old centrelines, just drilled and tapped for stainless button head bolts where the old push in plastic ones were. so NO, not 2 piece

FRUSTRATED!!! Not by the buggy but, by the lack of progress on the buggy. Every weekend is full of stuff to do. and now I am back to work, 60 hour Mon to Friday if not more. Roofing the house Easter weekend, finishing some woodworking projects this coming weekend, and the daily driver needs front end work. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. The only bright spot i can see in the situation is ill have a little extra money for parts etc. All I want is a solid weekends work on my buggy, that should get a lot of the actual chassis built. then some of my pre made parts can go on. and shortly after that.
