WELL, actually just bought my first parts. bought a weldable flange and the rear bearing and carriers for the buggy, waiting on all my ball joints etc and my laser cut parts. also went to the wreckers today and came up bust on the parts needed. building a ST2 long travel. has anyone used anything else for the driveline parts other then what is sugested?

Drew up all the bent pieces in full scale today. I will drop off the patterns when i pick up my laser cut pieces. At $5 a bend, I cant bother buying or even borowing a bender. also he will suply the tube for $2 a foot. Its HREW.

You can build a vw spool for vw axles and all that. I figure it's about 300 on the low end which is fine for my little 65-70hp. For more power you'll need better bearing support likely but the rest of the parts are the same. Or Protodie has a whole spool for 520-550 or but it all part by part. You basicly need a splined shaft from Protodie, 2 cv flanges tha bolt on, bearings, and either a flange and sprocket or a sprocket that bolts onto the flange like PD's. Then you'll need to make the arm side to take vw or PD parts, or machine the stub you want to use to work
