Hey fellas, Im building an st2 LT with an arctic cat 530cc suzuki motor 2cylinder 2cycle and I picked up a rad from a 1200 goldwing for cheap its a 4cyl 4 cycle does anyone know if it will be enough to cool the smaller sled motor or do these 2 strokes run alot hotter do to no engine oil and fireing every other stroke, it has a fan and will have elect.start and bat. as soon as my parts arive from Mickeys Sleds&More in Midland Mi. A great resorce for sledheads . Thanks for the help .Don PS anyone know what HP this motor has it really rips.

The sled power plants are used to running in cold temps, thats why the rads are small. It may be wise to get a civic rad, depending on where your riding. In the hot weather the sled engines tend to heat up quick. Im using a 500 polaris 2 smoke and grabbed the civic rad for it a little insurance for later on..lol

+1 on the civic. Best $100 you'll spend.

MY civic didn't keep up even after shrouded and a big air duct was added to get air on to it..
I put my 28x20x3 dual core howe back on up top feeding into the civic rad. The Howe cooler is only half full with no fan and now she stays at 185 under stressfull situations. The moral of the story is .. mount that sucker in the airflow. shroud it good and rubber mount it.
