Geared properly it would, but it's not going to be very powerful at all. I would guess that sugar sand could be a real problem. IMHO Go bigger.

What type of terrain will you be riding on? Either of those 2 engines will get you around on firm ground, if geared properly.

But at 280KG/617LBS I don't think either will be very good on soft terrain, like sand or mud.

I think those Chinese 150cc buggies weigh about 180KG/400LBS. They will barely go through sugar sand, but they're only about 10HP, and use a CVT type transmission. I'm guessing your Duke should have a little more than double that 24hp? and the option to shift gears manually.

A TRX 450R weighs 176KG/388LBS and has about 41hp. I would think you would want at least that or more. Or significantly lower the weight.

Depends on the type of terrain you will be riding on, and what level of performance you want. With 24hp, I personally wouldn't bother with anything over 180KG/400LBS.
