I posted an introduction a few days ago and thought now would be a good time to start my build thread. As the title says, we are going to build 3 AR51's at the same time. I am attempting 2 and my good friend, JW, is building the 3rd one. My son Trent and daughters are helping also. I started on this about 3 weeks ago and will try to post pics of what has already been done. Bear with me while I figure out the correct procedure for posting pics. Thanks, Mitch

My tubing was on order so I started making parts. Found some dom in my shop and decided to make the bearing housing. My lathe is a 1966 Cincinnati hydrashift 17x42.

Shop pics! I make a lot of 1-3/4" shafts with a 1-1/4" hole out of UHMW for the company I work for so I built a hydraulic drill attachment for my lathe.
