It has begun!
Got started a couple weeks ago. I ordered the front plate kit, pivot bolts and crush sleeves from RickS and dug in. The plans are AMAZING and so easy to follow, it's just silly. I did get confused a bit on some hole size/tap size specs but only because I've never built anything from blueprints before. After an embarrasing email to RickS, it all made sense in short order!
I found a good deal on a nearly complete Hayabusa engine and I can't wait to hear it run!
I drive a truck OTR for a living so my shop time is limited. I can usually squeeze in about 6-8 hours a weekend. This may take a while but I'll keep updating when I can.

The plans are great and I had no problem following them. Ricks always there to help ya along.I read on Large 's thread your thinking of frame mods if you have access to a cad program great if not there is a lot of trail and error changing 1 thing changes everything and you have to be looking 5 steps a head of where your at now . If Rick was closer it would help but trying to get across what you're thinking and what you explain is some times 2 different things" Thanks for everything Rick you've been great". I changed my frame by 5.75inches and as it looks every thing seems to be working out but its not done yet this is why I'm still just tacking things up
Good luck and keep us posted

Thanks Custom39. What little I've done so far has been really fun!
Yes Sodman, I was thinking I might have to stretch the cockpit a bit to fit my long legs and fat butt. I did talk to Rick a while back about it. He said it shouldn't be a problem stretching it somewhere around the seat area. Honestly, I'm just not far enough along to tell if I need to yet. It wouldn't be too hard to lay out some measurements on some cardboard. I may do that when I get home.

Got a little more done last weekend. I'll try and get the shock mounts done today.

Right on! That gives me motivation!
I got the shock towers built and mounted last weekend. I'm gonna try photo bucket to upload photos from my phone. Otherwise, I'll have to wait till I get home and go to the library to upload. My phone company ticked me off a while back and I shut of my internet at home. Who knew you could actually live without internet!

Then I plotted out the cockpit on some cardboard to see if I'll actually fit in the damn thing...
Turns out I'll fit just fine. No alterations to the design are necessary.
