Well, I am back at it! Selling the Shot gun last spring was good, but I really miss having a buggy! I have the lower frame tacked, the front sub frame tacked up, and I am finishing up the water jet work here and there at work. This week was a great week to get things going again. I Have some pics on my phone, but that's it. I will be doing some machine work for suspension bungs this week. Everything in moderation is the key for me.

OK here are some pictures. I have to get back in the habit of taking more pictures as I go, but here is the latest..

When I built any one of the modules, I scribed a center line on the tubes, to line up with a center line on my table. As I put the modules together, I was able to keep things centered. Also when I put the mid rail up, I ran a string line over all of the center lines on the lower, and dropped a plumb bob down from the center lines on the mid rail to center it up!

Well, that's my start. We are working A LOT of hours...but it sucks to be salary, so I do by building on Saturday in my shop. Up next is building the front upper shock mounts, and bending the hoops. Next Saturday, it should start to take some more shape.

Wow man you have one nice BIG shop. The quality of your work is impressive. Can't remember, but did you score an engine?

Oh those waffle fab tables are bitchin'! Square and plumb from the start will avoid problems later. Good lesson for first time builders.

looking great so far... look forward to seeing the frame top section added. If i worked in a shop like that.. i would be fired within a month. i would constantly be scheming on what to build with all the machinery... which means i would be daydreaming more than working.

    Justin,

Nice to see you're still pluggin' away at it. I'm still working on the second Cuda ... at the tear it down and paint it stage! One of these days I'll post up the progress. I made a lot of small changes that should add up to a better buggy. If they work well, I'll have to go back and rework the first buggy.
So, do you think you will make the trails this year?

THANKS GUYS! This shop is HUGE! We have 2 shops, one is where we do shearing, forming, water jetting, plasma cutting, machining, and our assembly area. The fab shop (shop 2) is where I am doing my building. The waffle (ACORN) tables are so nice to keep things clamped down while building. I haven't got a motor yet, just getting all of the fab work done here in the shop. I have my hoops all bent up, and I will post pictures up this Saturday.
