Congrats on the new house and job...and bike.

How do you like the WR? I've read good things about them.

It's actually my second one. I had a 2008 for a little over a year, and I sold it because I didn't have many places to ride or the time. I spent most of my time on street bikes then. This one is a 2013 that I have already modified more than the last. I've only put 500 miles on it in three months (three rides), but they were all mostly gravel or offroad. I don't have much experience on anything else, but from what I read the WRR is pretty decent. I am a fan of Yamahas low maintenance, functional bikes.

I originally planned a GEN I FZ1 engine for my buggy, but it ended up being cheaper to find an entire GSXR750 takeout. It also made the install easier because it was so similar to Rick's GSXR1000 AR51 buggy.

I managed to pop a bead off the rim on one of my rear tires this weekend while doing donuts. The ditch helped me out with that. I was able to pull the tire to the side while the portable compressor was pumping it up. Once it had enough pressure the tire walked around the lip of the wheel and reseated the bead. I was running 10-12 psi. I jumped that up a bit to 14psi afterwards. I had just been talking about rolling a tire off the bead before it happened. Self fulfilling prophecy, I guess.

On another note. A friend is a quadcopter guru, and he got a lot of video of folks driving my AR51 around. I'll try to link to his youtube page when he puts it up.

The above video involves quadcopter flying in first person view with video goggles. The buggy and dirtbike show up near the end. We were just fooling around with the quadcopter and the operator worked in some shots of the toys.

That's cool! I would like to get one of those to play with in the future. Sure could take some nice vids with one of those after a bit of practice.

The one taking video actually had three cameras on it--two for navigation and flying and a gopro hero on a gimble for video. It's pretty neat. He's written some of his own software to control and customize some of the communications. If you follow his youtube channel you can see a lot of the flying he has done.

Is he mapping out where the bulldozer is going to go?

Those quad-cameras seem to have a long way in a short time.

He was working on GPS mapping the property lines. The roads and trails there are mostly under the canopy and hard to see from above. I'll make a video at some point of driving some of them. They're not very high speed because of the rocks and tight turns.
