[quote=nutz4sand;148577]Thats great. All I gotta do is take the pin out of mine and it will be a limited slip. Thats friggin awesome!! I thought it would be a lot more to it than that! Do I have to split the tranny to take out the pin or can I just drill it out from the outside.

I was thinking thats a great Idea.

I am of course kidding.
Haha, if you take that center pin out of the non LSD, uh things will get a little loud and clanky to say the least Oh yeah you won't be moving either Haha

With honda's aftermarket possibilities, you could buy a lsd and drop it in. If you surf honda sites enough you might find one used for a reasonable price. For that matter, you might be able to find a jdm tranny with lsd for a song if you don't care what model it came out of. There is always somebody hard up for cash if you look long enough.

After 20 years on the sand I have never had the need for a limited slip but I have never hit the mud or rocks

Arrowhead,
I am wondering if the problem you had with the belt you used in the beginning was because you did not support the shaft on both sides of the pulley like you later did with the chain. I would think any flex in the shaft might have caused the belt to shred. I would think if the belt would hold up it would be a nice way to go and be better than a chain.

Mike
It had a bearing on the outer end of the shaft and was very quiet but the first time I hit WOT it just shredded the teeth then it tore the next one in half. So I went back to the chain and that's when I started breaking inputs

Hey, just checking in. Been busy with my build. Got my tranny in the other night and now I'm worried!! How have the inputs been breaking? My RC51's outputshaft is twice what the Honda is, I'm wondering if there's gonna be a problem with mine, too?

The trannys stock inputs break if you pull sideways on them. You need a bearing on either side of the sprocket that feeds into tranny.

The trannys existing input shaft can ONLY see rotational force. No side pull. Make your bearings and the adaptor shaft you will make hold the side loads. Make sure the bearings align your adaptor shaft straight onto the tranny shaft.
