I'm pretty sure we are the ones learning from you . . .
An arm design won't lessen your CV angle. Actually, a bad arm design might because it would lessen your travel and that, in turn, would lessen your CV angle.

Actually it will lessen the angle but for me to clearly show what I'm talking about I need my work computer and software.

I tried to show it with crudely with dots and crap but that does not work. Will post example soon.

Are you talking about camber change throughout the cycle, or that the axle was touching the arm? Did you get any new parts back from transworks yet?

Nothing back from Transworks yet.

The upper arm at full compression almost touches the frame tube. The way the frame tube is laid out it is outside the and above the pivot point so as it swings up it is limited in travel.

If the arm dropped down at a 45* angle from the pivot for an inch or so then went straight to the upright it could swing further up without hitting the frame tube.

In this configuration I would lower the lower shock mount an inch or so. Right now it is maybe 2.5 inches higher than the arm. This would allow the arm to swing higher while maintaining clearance.

That in turn would lessel CV angle at full droop because the suspension would be working it's range more in the direction of bump. The downside is losing some ground clearance but I think there is some room to work with.

Stephan, feel like designing some boxed upper and lower arms?

I'm betting 3 engineers will get you 4 different opinions.

Are you thinking of moving the inner upper arm mount? With the new uprights, how far out of the arm are the heims?

Maybe you guys should reference the threads your talking about for the rest of the reader of this thread.

Gene, from what I can tell, your talking about lessening the droop on your ride and making up the difference in travel by redesigning your arms to allow more up travel; in that case I see what you mean by your stating that a new arm design would lessen your CV angle.

Yes, It looks like they are talking about another buggy because I have never delt with Transworks before.
As far as my buggy and rear travel in the arm and shock location goes....all I know is "I have a lot if it and I wouldn't change a thing" .
It's been beat through hell on a rocky, hard dirt, BIG whoops terrain and I have never seen a weak spot in it.
