Default utv power steering

do any race rhinos use power steering? if so what kit do they use? do they need it? this system was brought up in the mini buggy controls forum but it doesnt sound like anyone has used it.

Yamaha Rhino Electric Power Steering System [8051510] - $995.00 : ATV Power Steering, Performance All Terrain Vehicle Steering Components

it sure is a simple kit if it works, if it doesnt then its an expensive experiment. I figure if this kit or anyother holds up on a race rhino then it would work on my mini buggy (1200lbs, cbr 929, 33 in. tires)

Any opinions?

thanks!

Damien

I think the new grizzlys have power assist, maybe find some smashed stuff or something...

I have been to many of the short course races out here and hardly anyone uses power steering. It really isnt needed for race purpose at least not in short course. Now a long desert race might be a different story. I have put many miles on my rhino and about the only place it would be nice is in 4 low crawling over rocks. But to each his own..... let me know how the electric one works.

I did a lot of searching and found quite a few threads on rhinoforum.net which dealt with this particular electric power steering set up. the reviews were positive but who knows if it would work in the desert on a larger minibuggy? I dont really want to be the first one to try!
