Default Dual Swing Arm rear suspension

I'd like to get comments on the attached design concept of using 2 ATV rear swing arms and shocks. The axles would be shortened and there would be twin chain drives.

This concept has been brought up previously. You might want to check out some photos and info on other builders who are using this design. check out www.extremebajakarts.com or offshore buggy suppliers like www.awesomebuggy.com , they have some good photos in the parts segment on there site. Also, someone has posted pictures of a large quad built this way and they are somewhere on MBN. Do a search if you haven't already. I can see what you are suggesting to do, and it may be doable. I don't have any answers to that, but if you've got access to cheap parts and are handy, just about anything is possible, especially if you've got a shop full of tools. Good luck and keep posting.

Thanks for the feedback. I think it's possible I'm just not sure if the resulting travel (9") from a stock Quad rearend will be enough.
