Default 30" BFG's on 4" wide wheel

I am getting ready to order some wheels and could use some help. Is a 4" wide wheel to narrow for a 30" BFG? I know BFG recommends a 5.5 or 6 minimum but I assume that is for street use.

Thanks

That seems very narrow. The tread may not end up flat on top, but you should be able to get it on.

How wide is the tire? *Either way 4" does seem really narrow, I don't even know what rims come in that narrow of a width. *It will give the tire a more rounded profile and possibly handle poorly as well.

Likely it is going to make the tire about 35" tall as well... *I am guessing you need 6" at minimum depending on the tire itself...

It will work just fine and the overall height won't change much. *If you are going to run the tires tubeless the narrow rim helps keep the bead on, if you are talking about the BTR non beadlocks

Thats exactly what I thinking / hoping. I was talking about the BTR's as well. I may go with the 275 / 70 / 15 tires which are supposed to be about 29" tall.

Tex do you know if anyone has them in stock?

These are a 33x10.5 tire on a 4" BTR. *There are a lot of people that race with the 4" wheels mounted with 10.5 or 9.5 tires.
