Default Trying to use some Fox Podium X's - Spring ?

I picked up a full set of Podium X shocks off of a Polaris Outlaw 500 that I'd really like to use.

Obviously the spring rate is wrong, but I installed the back and the tender spring is fully collapsed and I don't have a great feeling about the main spring as I had to add a lot of pre-load to make the buggy sit up reasonably well. About 800 pounder. Not a long travel buggy.

Are there reasonably priced higher rate springs for these shocks? When I called Fox, they were nice enough but gave me the "That's a Polaris thing and you have to get springs from them" story. Not good enough.

Anyone know where I could get springs?

Are they the fronts or rears? the rears are a 2.0 shock body and use a 2.5" spring. fox and king. Here is a pic of a custom fox podium with 2.5 spring

Well,

I'm putting the rears, on the rear and the fronts, I guess....on the front. :-) The non-smart arse answer is "both".

I think you answered my question, though - just get the diameter of the springs and length and then I need to figure the rate out.

Any ideas where to shop for the springs at a decent price? How about spring rate for the main and tender spring?

Thanks - I finally figured that out late yesterday. Looks like they've got what I need - I see they have a "suggested price" - any tips on dealers that offer a good discount or will SSS "discount" when you call?

Also, the current springs on this shock just look way too short for the shock body; I'm guessing the spring rate does not reduce much with length, but rather material diameter and number of coils per inch???

Thanks for your help.
