You should seriously consider making it pavement only full blown asphalt killer you can take your truck to the dirt.
I have been wanting to see someone do that for some time.
So what kind of suspension would you reccomend for that? I was thinking of maybe going with a solid axle. :\

Solid axles fine especially in the rear especially on asphalt.

If you are looking at no to little rear travel even a good quad rear end would work.
