Default 750 virago buggy

Just thought everyone might like to see my latest creation. It was built in 4 months from scratch. Some of ya'll spured it on because there where a few of you that told me that virago engine wouldn't work because of a lowley starter problem. (once the motor is warmed it starts perfectly) It is chain drive down to a subaru limited slip rearend and shortened half shafts. Every thing else has been built, painted and or powdercoated by me. It is an absolute blast to drive (10.61 to 1 first gear) all my freinds get out of it with a big stupid grin on there faces! Everyone agrees on one thing that when you are chasing it on atv's you can not keep up with it.

Looks real nice. What did you make your side panels out of?

Looks nice. 4 months? You could give lessons on time then! Very good. If you could pop a couple pics of the diff and how you made the drivetrain connect. Bill

4 months!?! Nice work. I think I was still looking at plans scratching my head after 4 months. Way to go.

Nice pumpkin BTW.

Looks good. Can we get a picture of the exhaust? Looks like it wraps around the front?

The body is made of 0.040 aluminum. the diff is a stock Subaru Lagacy 1992 with limited slip 4.11 gears a #50 chain sprocket is mounted on the drive plate and the splined yolk on the engine has been cut down and a gear welded to it.

The exhaust was a challenge becuase the rear pipe had to go twice a far as the front. So even thought it looks the same size wrapped it is 33% smaller to keep the exhaust speed up to compensate for the lenght, I just double walled it to make it even looking. I always wrap my headers performance and safety reasons.

That thing looks awesome! Do you have any more pictures from the build? I wouldn't mind seeing more pictures of the front and rear suspension.

never thought of using a shaft drive engine like that. Too bad I scrapped a 900cc honda cuz it sat too long, I got a subby diff sitting in my driveway, I could have run the same type setup. Oh well, yours looks good.
