Stop teasing us! Thats not nice! I have been to Glamis and Dumont and they are soooooooooooooooooooo much bigger and nicer than Silver lake especially in area to ride. The sad part is there is more parking on Gecko road at Glamis than total ride area at Silver lake. But its the best thing we got in "these parts". If yah wished I could post some pics of Silver lake in a new Thread. Its fun but somewhat sadely limited. Then you gotta fight for a "parking lot voucher" on the busy weekends jsut to get in to the park. Its not near as nice as the huge areas out west that you may not get the place you wanted. But you will get a place. The biggest dune here called Test hill is like 1/3rd of Olds hill at Glamis. Its sometimes a little steeper but its not near as long.

As for the buggy. I have seen him driving that machine around and I would be willing to say its capable of running with most anything. When he gets out on the areas where he can see and unleashes it he is flat flying. I have yet to see anything keep up with him and I have seen a few try. There may be a couple other strong rails around here that can but I aint seen them try yet. Sharp rig. Only downside it still does have a chain drive to the gearcase. Dunno if thats gave him any issues yet. Bill

yes he has had a few different chains on the drive and now he's switched to a 530 d.i.d. o-ring chain made for busa, and so far this has held up the best. he is only at 11psi now but he tuned it as high as 25psi and he comments that it is uncontrollable in silvers small area for that mush hp (around 480) !!!! this rail is B A bad ass

FWIW, which is not much,I think any help cooling the chain has to be beneficial at least a little. BUT,I also feel that the only way to rid ourselves from the chain issues that ALL busa powered buggies seem to have is to eliminate the chain all together or incorporate an enclosed oil bath chain. OF you may not have had chain issues and if so I can only think that the light weight of your car and the shorter paddles are working in your favor. Have you had chain issues? I saw that you are replacing it and a sprocket or 2 this weekend.

Around 480? come on now.... FWIW, its just another tom pro rail, there is far better looking rails around, its not like this is goldilocks or anything....
