Had to run to the shop so I figured I'd get pix for you and show you the Team driven clutch.
In the second picture down you can see the roller assembly. *The thing is burly cast iron with a pair of large diam rollers. *The assembly slides down over the main shaft of the clutch and is splined to keep it from rotating. The rollers look like they're made out of something like Phenolic. *I don't know what it is, but the stuff is very tough. The spring (not shown, because it's not there) goes under the roller assembly. * The assembly's held on with a large circlip. From inside out (as if you were putting one together): *There's a cupped washer that goes on the main shaft, then the spring, then the roller ass'y *<-- HA the filter think's I'm swearing! *Push the roller ass'y onto the splines until it bottoms out and then put the circlip on. *You do need a special tool to install/change the spring. *I made one - and it "works"... *needs modification. *I should have looked at the pix in the manual a bit better. * The helix that you would get for your Drak will have the ramps going the other direction. *This is for a Honda, so it's a reverse cam setup. I forgot to take a pic of the helix side with the helix installed. *Sorry about that. One thing that you want to do if you decide to get one of these clutches is pitch the stupid Torx screws that come with them and replace them with allen socket screws. *For some reason the Torx don't like to play nice and tend to get pissy and stuck. *They're not a good fitting Torx socket and they'll drive you nuts. I don't have the Aaen Roller bearing box anymore.

I was checking those out. At one site it was 3 bills for the clutch and 30 bux for the spring and 110 for the ramp. Aaen says 300 for the whole thing.
When converting do you go straight over and match the helix angle or go up? When I went to the roller Aaen told me to go up, which I did. So would I match what I have or go up again? I like that the roller fits into a slot so it HAS to backshift....and never stick. I could sometimes feel it kinda stick or hang in there a bit after the Aaen roller set up. Looks sweet. Tom |

I asked Neil about copying the helix angle from AC to Team recently (called him last week to see if Team makes a clutch that will fit the Briggs cars - nope. damn) and he said that it unfortunately doesn't work quite that way. *When ATVR first started using Team instead of AC, they tried just copying the helix angle as a starting point and ended up with different settings. * I have no clue what you would use as a starting point for your Drak either.
