So far Bruce has been very fast with replys, I know they downsized a lot. They also dropped there parts sales now and are only selling plans.
Not sure what happened there. But he assures me most if not all of the needed parts are available here in Alberta so I will have to take his word on that and see how things go as I do my build. If all else fails I can order online out of the states anyways. Anyways the plans call for 1 inch tubing or 1.315" x 0.100" wall tubing . is that to thick ? any suggestions what you could use for wall thickness to keep the weight down without losing strengh ?? |

Build the main chassis out of 1.25 x .083 mild (1018 *or 1020 DOM) and you'll do just fine.
Up the thickness to .095 for the main roll cage hoop and the a-pillars. Do all the cross bracing and triangulation bracing with 1 x .063" In all reality, you can probably get away with building the car out of .063 and doing the cage in .083, but we all tend to overbuild for the sake of safety.
