Default Rick S and Mike A at Silver Lake, Michigan - USA

What a day!

We got about 2-1/2 hours of hard riding in.
One of my headlamps tore off and I got some sand in my throttle cable and ignition switch. My throttle cable stuck a few times but I was able to clear it quick enough. I need to seal up my ignition switch better...sand got in and I couldn't get the key to turn off.

Adjusted the chain once, after the first ride...no big deal.

I turned my bearclaws around to get the "V" to push the sand instead of digging in, and it worked real well. After I got over my nervous willies, I started hammering the throttle keeping the RPM's over 5K, and it kept the upper stage injectors kicking in. The little 600cc screamed, and seemed right at home. *

Here a sample of a hill climb:

And both of us:

Hey, your near me! I'm over in saint clair shores. I just killed an hour on your photobucket. Was that metro park this past winter?? I was hoping to make SL this past weekend, but that didn't happen. I think we're going to head up and check out those baldwin trails next week. IF I can get mine going. Yours looks great. Seems to handle well in the sand as well. How big is the engine in the second buggy with you? Do you find it awkward to shift left handed?? I've been working on getting mine to the right side, and might actually have a solution. We'll see what Jegs delivers this week. They had a push pull cable basiclly designed just for shifting a trans.

Hey Greasemonkey...

Yep that was metropark. *The red buggy is Rick S. *He has a Honda 954 in his. *Mine is a CBR600, so of course I had to take it easy so Rick can keep up! *

Both of our shifters work great. *I started shifting without the clutch on this trip. *It worked great. *I can down shift and up shift with no effort at all, quick and clean.

I'm in south Warren. *We'll probably do another trip to SL and/or some other locations. *Hope you can make it.

Yes, you will need a voucher.
From April 1 thru Memorial day I think the vouchers are only required on weekends. *Between Memorial day and Labor day they may be required every day.

I didn't have to buy vehicle passes for my toys last year I don't think. Today I had to buy 3 park passes. Is that new?
