Now what do you do with the excess? Cutting it off by hand or having it laser cut off?

No they will just get mounted in a fixture and then a profile cut using the Haas mill will trim off the excess around the edges. *That's the last machine Op. *Then the chips and other excess will get remelted for making castings.
