Just thought I would drop a photo of me and my 16 year old daughter finishing our leg of this last years Baja 1000 race. We spent 11 hours in the car straight through the night. It was a point to point. Our buggy started off as a 2008 Kawasaki teryx. My oldest brother did all the fab work. We did not win but we did finished the race and that is more than most.

We have had the car in several races of the past few years. Here is another picture of it when it was still powdercoated Green.

That's pretty cool, especially that you made it a "daddy-daughter" activity. That's the kind of thing that my daughter would also enjoy.

That's killer!!!! What a great way to spend time with your daughter (I just made mine sick in the Dez) And to finish - kudos!

If you guys ever need a pit whore for a state side race (BITD), let me know. I'll be happy to go pre-run, push a broom, etc. and help out.

Money, it takes lots of money.......

It also takes people that know what they are doing and where they are going.

Also having drivers they know how hard they can push really helps. Nothing worse than having to go fix a broken race car in the middle of the desert.

All of the competitive guys have been racing down there for years and know the course like the back of their hand. Nobody comes down for the first time and does well, finishing is a pretty good achievement for your first time.
