Nice work. For AR51 you will need 1-1/4" die with 4-1/2" CLR.

Thanks Rick! I'll probably make a set of those next and then some 1 1/2 with 5" radius. I measured my lathe and I can turn 10" no problem.

Awesome job Dave do you have any pics or close ups of the tool holder you made for cutting out the dies and the follower die all made on the mill ?.
    Thanks Blair

I don't have any on hand, but I'll get some for you. For the follower die I just used my 1" carbide endmill to cut the round groves.

Awesome machine work Dave! Not only is it functional, it looks great too!

I like big lathe jobs like that. Did you make the radius turner? I made one for the mini lathe a few years ago, but still need to make one for my 13x24 lathe.

    Thanks guys!

I made the tool holder as well as the attachments. I don't have any great shots of the radius turner on my computer so I'll need to get some better ones next time I'm out. Here are the pics I have.

You can just see the the tip of the cutter near the botton the in the picture above.

    Hope that is useful.

    Very nice work daaboots,
I built one of these takas benders as well for my motorcycle frames. I am really hoping to build another hydraulic bender using a hydraulic power pack and turning everything horizontal.

Thats some great work I want a tube bender but after seeing this I want your mill. How much did it cost to make without the dies I'm going to have to buy those.
